Understanding begins with acceptance
Empowering individuals with autism and developmental differences to reach their fullest potential.
Hello, and welcome! My name is Maritza Sabalza, and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with 9 years of experience serving children and families in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. It has been my passion and purpose to empower individuals with autism and developmental differences to reach their fullest potential through compassionate, evidence-based care.
After nearly a decade of working in homes, schools, and clinics, I am excited to announce the grand opening of Inclusion Therapy LLC, a practice built on the belief that every child deserves individualized support, family-centered collaboration, and a team that truly cares.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of witnessing countless moments of growth, from a child saying their first words to learning how to play with peers, use the restroom independently, or advocate for their needs. These moments inspire me every day and are the reason I opened Inclusion Therapy LLC: to bring high-quality, personalized ABA services to families in our community.
As a clinician, I value clear communication with families, cultural responsiveness, and creating an environment where children feel safe, motivated, and celebrated for who they are. My approach combines the science of ABA with warmth and creativity to make learning meaningful and fun for each client.
Thank you for considering Inclusion Therapy LLC to be part of your child’s journey. I look forward to working together to help your child grow and thrive.
Warmly,
Maritza Sabalza, M.S., BCBA

Reviews
“Maritza worked with my child for over 5 years. She started as a behavioral therapist with my child and my child would not speak to anyone because he was shy. When Maritza came to our house she showed my child patience and understanding and my child was able to confide in her. Maritza showed him how to be more independent and socialize more with peers his age. I am forever grateful for Maritza!” -L.F (previous client)
“Maritza was my childs supervisor and was really helpful and respectful. She helped my child achieve her goals…” -N.B (previous client)
Our Services
ABA 1:1 Therapy:
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a research-based approach that helps children with autism learn important skills and reduce behaviors that may get in the way of learning or daily life.
ABA focuses on teaching step by step, using positive reinforcement (rewarding progress) to encourage growth. Every program is personalized to fit each child’s unique strengths, needs, and family goals.
Through ABA, children can build skills in areas such as:
Communication – learning to express wants, needs, and ideas
Social skills – making friends, sharing, and interacting with others
Daily living skills – dressing, eating, brushing teeth, chores
School readiness – following directions, focusing, completing tasks
Parents are also active partners in ABA therapy. Therapists provide guidance and training so families can continue supporting their child’s progress at home and in the community.
The goal of ABA is to increase independence, confidence, and quality of life for children and their families.
FBA’s:
A Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) is a process we use in ABA therapy to better understand your child’s behavior. The goal is to figure out why a behavior is happening—what the child is trying to communicate or gain through that behavior.
During an FBA, we look at:
Antecedents – what happens before the behavior (triggers).
Behavior – what the child does.
Consequences – what happens after the behavior (how others respond, what the child gets or avoids).
By studying these patterns, we can see the “function” of the behavior—for example, whether your child is trying to get attention, escape a task, get something they want, or meet a sensory need.
Once we know the function, we can:
Teach your child new, positive ways to get their needs met.
Create a behavior plan that supports growth, reduces challenges, and builds independence.
Help parents and teachers respond in consistent, supportive ways.
In simple terms, an FBA is like being a detective for behavior—we gather clues to understand the “why,” so we can help your child succeed.
Parent Training:
Parent training is a supportive service where families learn strategies to help their child with autism grow and thrive. Through guided sessions, parents are taught evidence-based techniques from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) that can be used in everyday life. Parent training is a collaborative process—therapists and parents work together as a team, tailoring strategies to the child’s unique needs and the family’s goals.
The focus is on:
Understanding behavior – learning why behaviors happen and how to respond effectively.
Teaching new skills – helping parents support communication, social, and daily living skills.
Positive strategies – using reinforcement, structure, and routines to encourage desired behaviors.
Consistency across settings – ensuring strategies used at therapy are also successful at home, school, and in the community.
Empowering families – giving parents confidence and tools so they feel supported in helping their child succeed.
